The governor, however, exempted two critical cabinet members from the recent changes, citing the essential nature of their roles.

The Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the dissolution of the State Executive Council with immediate effect.

The governor, however, exempted two critical cabinet members from the recent changes, citing the essential nature of their roles.

These exempted members are Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, and Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac.

This decision was announced in a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, who also noted that the affected officials have been instructed to hand over all government properties to the accounting officers of their respective ministries.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the outgoing cabinet members for their contributions to the state’s development during their tenure. He acknowledged their efforts and wished them well in their future endeavors.

The statement read: “All the affected cabinet members are to hand over all government properties in their care to the accounting officers of their respective ministries.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the EXCO members for their service and contributions to the development of Ondo State under his administration and wished them well in their future endeavours.”

This move is perceived as a strategic step by the governor to reposition his administration for improved service delivery in the state.
