Manchester United footballer, Antony Matheus dos Santos on Thursday faced fresh allegations of assault by two women.

It was gathered that two women made public claims against Antony in the Brazilian media amid a sexual abuse incident between the football star and his former girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin.

The Brazilian National Team management on Monday dropped Antony ahead of World Cup qualifying games against Bolívia and Peru due to the sexual abuse allegation.

His club, Manchester United also issued a statement on Monday to reinstate their commitment towards finding the truth about Cavallin’s matter but declined to comment on the latest accusations, according to ESPN.

The football club have also been forced to deny allegations that the club attempted to cover up Antony’s alleged abuse of Cavallin, who waived her right to anonymity.

According to court documents obtained by ESPN, Antony summoned a United employee after Cavallin was injured in a Manchester hotel room. It is also said that the club employee arranged for a private doctor to see Cavallin so that the influencer and DJ would not have to go to the hospital, where questions about how the incident occurred would have been answered.

According to ESPN, United consider it common for doctors to be arranged through the club to visit players’ spouses and families, and they firmly deny any attempt to cover up Antony’s behaviour.

United have so far refused to confirm or deny whether Antony remains available for matches. Their Premier League campaign restarts after the international break with a home game against Brighton on September 16.

The former Sao Paulo and Ajax winger has continued to play for United despite Cavallin making her initial accusations in June.

Antony, who arrived at Old Trafford in a £85 million deal from Ajax in 2022, has made four appearances this season.
