Seyiâs post comes amid a protest held by residents of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital against the rising cost of living and hardship.
President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to keep enduring the current economic hardship for the sake of the countryâs growth and development.
This was stated in an Instagram post shared on Monday by his son, Seyi Tinubu on his verified page, stating that his father is aware of the suffering of Nigerian citizens.
“There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future,â Seyi quoted Tinubu as saying.

SaharaReporters had reported how the angry citizens blocked major roads while protesting against Tinubuâs economic policies, which they said had made them poorer.
The protest began in Ibadan’s Mokola area, and the protesters, mostly young people, barricaded the Mokola under-bridge and the Queen Elizabeth Road, causing traffic congestion in some parts of the ancient city.
Some of the placards have inscriptions such as âOpen Boarder, End Hardshipâ, âEnd food hike and inflationâ, âThe poor is starvingâ, âTinubu, donât forget your promisesâ, amongst others.
