Governor Okpebholo commended the lawmakers for their commitment and swift approval of the revised budget.

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has signed the N486billion supplementary budget into law, following its swift passage by the Edo State House of Assembly.

The signing ceremony, held on Monday at the Government House in Benin City, was attended by state lawmakers who presented the document to the governor.

Speaking at the event, Governor Okpebholo lauded the lawmakers for their diligence and prompt approval of the budget, stating that the revised fiscal plan will enable his administration to accelerate developmental projects across the state.

Meanwhile, the visit was led by the Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, alongside other members of the legislature.

Agbebaku noted that their prompt passage of the bill, which was presented last Wednesday, stemmed from a shared desire to see the government commence its projects without delay.
