The Adamawa state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), has declared 3-day fasting to mourn the death of Rev Lawal Andimi killed by insurgents.
Rev Dami Mamza, state CAN chairman said, the move is the only option left in view of the increasing killing of innocent person in the state.
Mamza lamented government inability to stop the carnage, let alone bring perpetrators to justice.
He directed for full compliance across the 21 local councils saying, it is the only way out of the challenge.
“Christians in the state are particularly saddened by the recent killing of two senior clergies last Monday.
It would be recalled that, the CAN chairman of Michika LGA, Rev Lawal Indimi was killed on Monday after Boko Haram insurgents abducted him earlier in the month.
It was alleged that, insurgents had demanded for £2m (N946m) but were offered N50m, infuriating the terrorists, who soon turned their anger on the victim
