The Debate will be broadcasted Live by 9:00pm (GMT -5) on Tuesday, August 25, that is 3:00am (GMT +1) on Wednesday, August 26.
The Jamaica Debates Commission raised the sum of 30 Million Dollars to host the Three 90-minute Political Debates ahead of the September 3 General Election.
Tonight’s Debate will have Christopher Tufton, Kamina Johnson Smith and Floyd Green of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) square up against Lisa Hanna, Dayton Campbell and Raymond Pryce of The People’s National Party (PNP).
The Second Debate is fixed for Thursday, August 27, 2020. It will be between Dr. Nigel Clarke of JLP and Mark Golding of PNP.
The last Debate is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2020. It will be a face-off between Leader of the JLP, Andrew Holness (Prime Minister) and Dr. Peter Philips of PNP.
This year’s debate will not have in studio audience due to the covid19 pandemic.
