Acting Comptroller General of Immigration, Caroline Adepoju, has approved the immediate redeployment of more than a dozen Passport Control Officers.
In a statement, ACI Kenneth Kure of the Service’ Public Relations Unit says the move is in a bid to deepen ongoing Passport reform.
The statement adds that the deployment is part of NIS management’s drive to upgrade passport administration at home and in foreign Missions. Kure conveys the Ag. Comptroller General of Immigration’s assurance that the Service remains committed to transforming Passport offices into customer-centric service centres.
The affected Passport offices include Alausa and Festac both in Lagos, as well as the ones in Edo, Anambra, Bayelsa, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Enugu, Abia, Kano, Taraba and Ondo, among others.
Acting CGI Adepoju has now directed all officers affected by the redeployment to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their new offices, and contribute to the improvement of service delivery.
