Asue Ighodalo Campaigns in Etsako East and Central, Promises Development

Governor Obaseki addressed large crowds of supporters, asserting that Ighodalo is the most credible candidate for the upcoming election.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took its governorship campaign to Etsako East and Etsako Central Local Government Areas in Edo State on Wednesday, with Governor Godwin Obaseki and other party leaders canvassing for votes for their candidate, Asue Ighodalo, and his running mate, Osarodion Ogie.

Governor Obaseki addressed large crowds of supporters, asserting that Ighodalo is the most credible candidate for the upcoming election.

He emphasised that a vote for the PDP would ensure progressive growth and development in Edo State.

Speaking in Agenebode, Etsako East, Obaseki highlighted the economic challenges facing Nigeria and positioned Ighodalo as the solution.

“Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie will implement policies to rescue and liberate the State,” he said.

“We are presenting the best, most credible, intelligent, and experienced candidates in this election.”

In Fugar, Etsako Central, the governor thanked residents for their participation in the continuous voters’ registration exercise, which saw about 7,500 new voters registered across the 10 wards in Fugar.

He urged them to maintain the same enthusiasm during the polls on September 21.

Ighodalo, addressing the crowd in Agenebode, pledged to pursue programmes and projects aimed at economic growth and development. He pointed to the resources in the area, such as the River Niger, as platforms for prosperity.

In Fugar, Ighodalo criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for impoverishing the people but praised Obaseki’s efforts to set the state on a path of progress.

He reassured supporters of his commitment to continue the incumbent government’s developmental plans.

Etsako East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Benedicta Attoh, expressed confidence in the PDP’s victory, stating, “We are just waiting for September 21 to celebrate the victory.”
