Afire broke out on Sunday evening at Ajah Market, near Alesh Bus Stop in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
The fire destroyed goods valued to be worth millions of naira.

Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), reported that the agency, in collaboration with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, responded swiftly to contain the fire.
Oke-Osanyintolu said the cause of the fire was still unknown at the time of filing this report.
However, no casualties or injuries were reported, as traders were absent due to the market being closed for Sunday.
“The LASEMA Response Team, in collaboration with the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, successfully contained the fire, preventing it from spreading to adjacent structures.
“Efforts are currently underway to fully extinguish the fire and recover any remaining valuables,” Oke-Osanyintolu added.
