Fire broke out at the Katsina State Government House on Monday morning, engulfing the revered Red Chamber, an integral adjunct to the governor’s office, where crucial deliberations with high-profile individuals and stakeholders are regularly conducted.

While the precise origin of the fire remained unknown, authorities were working assiduously to determine the root cause and evaluate the extent of damage inflicted upon the premises.

Similarly, last Friday, SaharaReporters reported that there was a fire outbreak at the Lagos State Government Staff Quarters located at Odunsanmi Street, off WEMPCO Road, Ogba area of the state.

It was learnt that the fire outbreak started in part of a three-storey building at the staff quarters around 2.20 am on Friday.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA Public Affairs Unit, Nosa Okunbor in a statement stated that the fire originated from an electrical surge in the children’s room.
