Indian police have announced the arrest of a suspect believed to be the primary shooter involved in the fatal shooting of a Nigerian national in outer Delhi’s Nilothi Extension.

The suspect, identified as Nikesh, had allegedly been evading capture by relocating frequently across Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan, Times of India reports.

According to earlier reports from a senior police officer, Ernest Morah suffered fatal injuries from multiple gunshot wounds on July 6, 2024, after seeking refuge in a nearby shop from the assailants, who were on a motorcycle.

However, the assailants chased him and shot him three times in the abdomen and the leg. Three suspects Rajesh, Abhishek, and Mohit were arrested earlier, the officer said.

According to their statements, Morah had allegedly failed to deliver drugs and refund the money.

A series of raids were conducted across multiple states, resulting in Nikesh’s arrest near Japanese Park, Rohini.
