Israel says it hits dozens more targets in the Gaza Strip, while Palestinian authorities say homes were hit “without warning”.

Israel’s defence minister says the campaign could take “one month, two months, three months… at the end there will be no more Hamas”.

He also hints at a ground attack – but says but before Hamas “meets our tanks and our infantry, they will know the shells from our air force”.

The Israeli military says a soldier was killed inside the Gaza Strip while carrying out a raid.

Overnight strikes across the Gaza Strip have led to “large numbers” of deaths and injuries, according to a statement from the Hamas-run interior ministry in Gaza.

Posting on Telegram, the ministry said the strikes hit Sunday night and early Monday morning.It did not provide the exact number of casualties. It said a number of homes were hit “without warning”.In Gaza, another 14 aid trucks arrived on Sunday – but the UN warns that “more, much more” is needed.Western leaders have reiterated their support for Israel – while issuing a renewed call for civilians’ lives to be protected.
