CHELSEA EYE MILINKOVIC-SAVIC MOVE

Chelsea are keeping an eye on Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and are prepared to bid on the midfielder should any offers be made for the player, reports the Independent.

Milinkovic-Savic drew the attention of the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid this summer after a fine season and World Cup, but his high price tag put off suitors, including Chelsea.

However, should an offer come in, the Blues will enter the fray as it is believed by those close to the midfielder than he prefers a move to Stamford Bridge.

ALLEGRI CONFIRMS FAVILLI LOAN

Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Andrea Favilli will be sent out on loan to Genoa this season.

The Italian striker took advantage of the absences of every member of Juventus strike force – including newly-acquired superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, World Cup star Mario Mandzukic and Argentina duo Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain – by scoring a pair of first-half goals to help Juve earn a 2-0 victory over Bayern at Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday, with his manager confirming after the match the the young forward would be loaned out.

GNAGNON JOINS SEVILLA FROM RENNES

Sevilla have completed the signing of France Under-21 international defender Joris Gnagnon from Rennes.

Gnagnon has signed a five-year contract with the La Liga side for a fee reportedly worth €15 million.

IMMOBILE HAPPY AT LAZIO

Ciro Immobile has no intention of leaving Lazio despite growing interest in Serie A’s Capocannoniere from the Premier League.

“I signed a new contract in November, it’s a source of pride for me to re-do the contract after 10 months,” he said.

Andre Ayew has joined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan from Swansea City, with the Super Lig side holding the option to make the deal permanent.

Talks continue between Premier League sides Fulham and Newcastle over forward Aleksandar Mitrovic, with the sides £2 million apart, reports Sky Sports.

Premier League newcomers Fulham want to bring Mitrovic back to the club and are hoping to land the Serbia international for £16m ($21m), but Newcastle are demanding £18m.

Jose Mourinho has demanded Manchester United sign either Harry Maguire or Toby Alderweireld, even if it requires a record-fee to do so, according to the Sun.

United Chairman Ed Woodward is working on deals for the pair, but Leicester will demand £60 million ($79m) for Maguire, which would be a record for an English defender, as he still has four years remaining on his contract.
Alderweireld, meanwhile, has been embroiled in a pay dispute with Tottenham and would only cost the Red Devils £50m.

ROJO’S MAN UTD FUTURE IN DOUBT

Defender Marcos Rojo’s future with Manchester United is in doubt as the team looks to bring in futher reinforcements in defence, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils already have six central defenders, with the club reportedly looking at adding Leicester City’s Harry Maguire and Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld, with Rojo’s camp belived to be concerned over his place should there be an addition.

The defender is entering the last year of his contract at Old Trafford but is uncertain whether he will link up with the team in the United States as he recovers from something manager Jose Mourinho has called a “physical problem.”
