The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), under the leadership of its Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has announced the official fare for the 2025 Hajj season.
This announcement follows approval from the Office of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Monday, by Fatima Sanda Usara, Assistant Director of Information and Publication at NAHCON, the fare varies by region.
Intending pilgrims from the Northern zone will pay N8,457,685.59, while those from Borno and Adamawa zones are expected to pay N8,327,125.59.
For intending pilgrims from Southern states, the cost is set at N8,784,085.59.
Usman explained that the fare was carefully determined through extensive consultations to ensure inclusivity and affordability for pilgrims.
The commission, in collaboration with representatives of the Presidency, including Malam Ameen Amshi, Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties, worked to keep the costs within a similar range to previous years.
NAHCON urged the public to visit its official website at nahcon.gov.ng or contact states’ pilgrims’ welfare boards for further details and a comprehensive breakdown of the fare.
However, Saleh commended the whole team, describing the Hajj fare as a product of extensive collaboration with all stakeholders.
He appreciated the support of the Presidency and Forum of State E.S.
The chairman urged prospective pilgrims to take note of the timelines and Saudi guidelines while emphasising the importance of early payment and timely registration to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
