The Theatre Art and Motion Picture Practitioners Association Of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has decided to host a birthday party in celebration of the oldest thespian in the Nollywood industry, as it celebrates Charles Olumo Sanya-Olu popularly known as “Agbako”
Agbako, who clocks 100 years of age, a few days ago was widely celebrated in the Nollywood industry as many actors and actresses posted his pictures on their social media pages, especially the “Yoruba” film industry.
To this TAMPAN is hosting him and other veterans of the industry at Abeokuta the hometown of Agbako. Another Veteran producer and filmmaker, Tunde Kelani posted the scenes at the venue on his Instagram page, TK wrote,
“Happening now at Abeokuta city, bumper celebration, for the Agbako of theatre, and film, the oldest thespian in Nigeria, Charles Olumo Sanyaolu at 100, Thank You TAMPAN”
President of TAMPAN Bolaji Amusan, also known as Mr. Latin is believed to have sent his warm wishes, as he couldn’t make it to the venue. It is understandable that Mr. Latin is currently at his foundation, where he organises free medical check up for fellow TAMPAN members and Yoruba actors in the film industry.
In attendance at the venue are other Nollywood veterans, including the likes of Jide Kosoko, Yomi Fashlanso, Adebayo Salami, and other veteran actors
