TRANSFER NEWS AND RUMOURS

WHY RONALDO WANTS REAL MADRID EXIT
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid because he does not feel he is loved any longer, Marca reports.

The club’s decision to put a €100 million (£88m/117m) price tag on his head in January was sufficient to convince the 33-year-old that he is not valued at the Santiago Bernabeu as he once was.

Juventus have been heavily linked with a move for the Portugal star.

RONALDO TO BE OFFERED BUMPER NEW DEAL
Real Madrid are set to make every effort in order to keep Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu, according to the Daily Record .

The Ballon d’Or winner is reportedly wanted by Juventus and is willing to speak to the Turin side, but Madrid are ready to offer the Portuguese a bumper new deal in order to persuade him to stay.

ODRIOZOLA CLOSING IN ON MADRID SWITCH
Spain international defender Alvaro Odriozola is set to trade Real Sociedad for Real Madrid this summer as talks between the clubs heat up, AS reports.

The 22-year-old will make the jump for a fee of around €40 million (£35m/$47m), although the structure of the payments has yet to be defined.

Former Spain boss Julen Lopetegui, whose move to Real was announced prior to the World Cup and caused his sacking, handed the player his international debut.

CONTE FINALLY SET FOR CHELSEA SACK
Chelsea are finally ready to sack manager Antonio Conte and replace him with Maurizio Sarri, the Mirror states.

Speculation has hovered over the Italian’s future for months and the Blues are only now ready to pull the trigger, days before pre-season training begins.
With their boss’ position unclear, the London side have failed to make any significant headway yet in the transfer market.

WILLIAN PUSHING FOR BARCELONA MOVE
Chelsea attacker Willian is pushing to complete a transfer to Barcelona, Mundo Deportivo says.

The Brazil international has been linked with Manchester United this summer, but the player wants a switch to Camp Nou as he wants to team up with Lionel Messi.
While the Blues have put up an asking price of €80 million (£71m/$93m), Barca have refused to bow to that demand and want to see it lowered.

AGENT BACK RONALDO & HIGUAIN TOGETHER
Cristiano Ronaldo’s potential arrival at Juventus would be welcomed by Gonzalo Higuain, according to the striker’s agent.

“It would be fantastic obviously, especially if he made a strike partnership with Gonzalo,” Nicolas Higuain told Sky Sport Italia.

EVERTON FACE MINA COMPETITION
Everton remain in pole position to sign Yerry Mina from Barcelona, but Lyon are hovering over the Colombia World Cup star too, according to television programme L’Equipe du Soir .

The Ligue 1 giants have made signing a centre-back their priority this summer and have targeted the 23-year-old.
However, Everton’s greater financial strength means that they remain firmly in place to sign the player.

NEYMAR & MBAPPE COULD BE PERFECT FOR MADRID
Neymar and Kylian Mbappe would be two big signings for Real Madrid, according to former Spain international Luis Garcia, who is actually hoping against the double swoop because of how strong it would make Los Blancos.

“They could be [a perfect fit]. I hope not because then they will get a lot stronger,” he said Wednesday.

KARIUS TO STAY ON AS LIVERPOOL NO.1
Liverpool goalkeeper Lorus Karius will remain as the club’s No.1 next season, despite two horrendous errors in the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

The Mirror reports that the Reds have been priced out of the market for both Alisson and Jan Oblak and are happy to stick by the German as a result.

MAN UTD LINE UP £12M SHAQIRI
Manchester United are ready to swoop for Switzerland international attacker Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke, the Sun reports.

Jose Mourinho is ready to pay £12m ($16m) for the former Bayern Munich man, who has also been linked with Liverpool.

The Portuguese boss, however, is unhappy that certain members of his squad are pricing themselves out of moves away from Old Trafford.

LAMPARD CONSIDERS CHELSEA RAID
Derby boss Frank Lampard is pondering a move for Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer, according to the Mirror .

The midfielder played 16 matches on loan at the Rams last term, but Lampard has yet to make a decision over the midfielder.
The Blues, meanwhile, want to send the 21-year-old out on another temporary move.
